PPCA Statement Regarding Party Registration Status (AKA: Good News, Everyone!) « Pirate Party of Canada
“Maidens and Gentlepirates,
We are pleased to announce that as of April 12, 2010, the Pirate Party of Canada (PPCA) is officially eligible for Party Status.”
Looks like Canada is joining some other countries and adding our own pirate party to the political waters. Now this is something that I’m interested in. Their Goals point out some important things for all Netizens! I suggest that you check out their hopes and dreams over on their website here: http://www.pirateparty.ca/about/our-goals
If this interests you, it looks like you can be a member of the official Pirate Party of Canada for only $10 a year, but you you must either be a Canadian Citizen, or a Permanent Resident of Canada.
I think I’d join up just so I can talk like a pirate all the time. Then when I get called on it, I can show my Pirate card. Sorta like Geek Cred, but this one fits in your wallet!
You can follow the PPCA on twitter here: http://www.twitter.com/piratepartyca
P.S.
Their site looks kinda weird on Firefox under Ubuntu 9.10.
